Red, white & blue...

This little robin hangs out with the chickens in the garden. His red breast cheers me up whenever I see him...

There was more of the white stuff this morning... I've only had one 90 minute lesson this week at uni... I'm bored now...

My blue hyacinths are trying to cheer me up with their love-it-or-hate-it scent (I love it), but my mood is blue... My plans for the weekend have had to be postponed because of the weather... Ho hum...

  1. The Robin is a plump little chap! You really have Christmas card scenes there. I am sorry that your weekend plans have had to be postponed. I have to go out to a function tonight in dressy clothes. I hope I don't slip on the snow and snag my tights because I have only bought the one pair!!! I hope your blueness fades and that you find something nice to occupy your time.x

  3. The hyacinth is beautiful to look at but I'm afraid their scent gives me a horrible headache.

I'm bored with the snow now too - but it's not disappearing!

  5. Lovely hyacinths.

Sorry about your spoiled weekend :-(
Tall Small woke up this morning and said 'Oh no, it's snowing AGAIN - when can we see the sun?' In June she'll be hankering for the winter, you can bet!

  6. Isn't the world a ridiculous place weatherwise....snow for you and overwhelming heat for us - particularly in the southern states...

  7. I'm stuck in my house and going a little stir crazy too. Not snow - rain. Lots and lots of rain. We are flooded in to the norths, south and west (east is the ocean). The supermarket shelves are looking VERY bare. However... we don't cancel any lessons just because of a little rain!

  8. I think I'll keep in mind that February the world goes seasonally crazy! Living in Australia, when I was a child I could never understand Christmas cards featuring robins and snow. Your first photo captures that Northern Hemisphere essence beautifully.I also love the photo of the blue hyacinth, and wondered how anyone could not like the perfume, until I read Kitty's comments. My husband is like that with jonquils.

  9. Love the robin. I've been calling in on your blog for a while but not sure whether I have left a comment before.
    Well done on your assignment.

  11. Love robins but I always associate them with Christmas. Love blue hyacinths but mine won't stay upright in their pot. Love snowy weather but I don't like driving in it.
