Lesson of the day...

I now know one thing for sure:

I don't ever want to get my fingers in front of this little baby...

Goodness me, its sharp! But what a tool. Just what I needed with this in front of me...

I now have a perfectly cut stack of pieces for my first attempt at quilting...

  1. what a gorgeous stash of colours.
yes they are scary, always cut away from you!
what pattern are you going to use?

  2. I still get nervous around rotary cutters. My mum is totally blasé about using it, but I'm not! They look wonderful fabrics - can't wait to see what sort of quilt you're going to make! x

  3. Yes, my Mom, who has been quilting for some time, just whips around fabric with that thing. The great thing is it allows her to continue quilting, because scissors are to hard on her little arthritic fingers. I love your blog, I'v been visiting for some time, just so dear. Amy

  4. You chose some beautiful fabrics. And keep your fingers on top of the ruler!

  5. Oooh, this will be a beautiful quilt! Great fabrics :)

  6. oooh, how exciting-keep us posted with how you get on- lots of pictures please! (my sewing envy continues)x

  7. I bought a rotary cutter last week - not that brand - and it's rubbish. It went blunt within half an hour, and it's going back!

Looking forward to seeing your quilt.
