Splash of Colour…

Pink hyacinth

Three fabulously pink hyacinths in my kitchen, filling the whole house with their sweet scent.

Perle skeins

A rainbow of new perle threads purchased at the weekend.  No2 thinks I’m quite mad, keep rearranging them into satisfying rows of colour.  He has no appreciation of these things!

 Perle thread blues

Perle thread blues (2)

Perle thread aqua

Perle thread greens

Perle thread oranges

I have no idea what I will use them for.  Yet.  But I am confident inspiration will strike.  Possibly in the form of French Knots…

Check out more Splashes of Colour here.

  9. What beautiful threads - I think I would keep them just to look at - and arrange into different colour combinations, of course!

  10. I saw those pictures and dribbled. A lot. Absolutely gorgeous pictures - especially the threads. I think hyacinths look pretty but the scent makes me feel quite ill - it's too 'heady' for me. :( x

  11. You are the Maven of Macro. The Queen of the Close-Up. And that hyacinth is the most beautiful color; I can almost smell it from here!

  13. I do envy you those beautiful hyacinths. The ones here are stunted and unlikely to produce anything like yours.

  14. Vibrant splashes of colour. I really like the close up shots of the threads. Thank you for the orchid advice. I will certainly try using rain water as I am an orchid novice, I want to give them the best chance!
