It is pouring and has been all day.
The rain is bouncing off the deck and the garden furniture.
Fortunately, it is not quite so dull indoors.
I have been to the nursery, picking my own dahlias.
Filling the house with colour.
And having a play with my macro lens.
oh we have had quite a nice sort of day here-makes a change!
ReplyDeleteI love your photos, they are great!

The rain didn't get here until this evening - but it has been a grey old day. I love your dahlias! I don't know what a macro is, but it takes very lovely pictures.

How did you know that I was re-starting the internal debate about getting a macro lens?? Tempting...
ReplyDelete(Love how you display your dahlias - beautiful!)
I picked pink dahlias today too! And love the picture of the rain splashing.

I thought about taking more pictures today, but decided against it. Now looking at how you captured the rain, I am sorry I didn't try harder.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful and have cheered me up so much. Those dahlias are gorgeous, such amazing colours. Thanks so much for sharing.

Glorious - my favourites. Only 2 dahlias here so far. Pout. Still, at least I only planted tubers from the garden centre - though I have to say my tubers purchased from a famous TV personality flowered really well last year, even if they didn't survive the winter ...
ReplyDeleteOof. Those dahlias are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour photos of dahlias are stunning and I often spot them in people's gardens and home in for a closer look and wonder if I should plant some at home - but then the horrors of memories of hidden earwigs always come back to haunt me and remind me why I've never got round to planting any in my own garden
ReplyDeleteLove those dahlias. Tried growing them here but the local snail population feasted on them.
ReplyDeleteIncredible colors and pictures!
ReplyDeletewonderful dahlias... i love them . your pictures are gorgeous. xx
