My tree is up, at last, having been in the garage since Wednesday.
It looks nice and twinkly in spite of my decorations being slightly sombre in colour.
It's not much fun putting it up on my own, to be honest, but No2 just shrugged when I suggested that he might like to come and help. He doesn't seem to get Christmassy these days which makes finding the motivation to get it all ready for our guests a little difficult to come by sometimes.
I think I will call it a day with the decorations now. It is time to concentrate on the menu planning and ingredient buying.
Oh I love the garland on your mantel! K x
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since my boys have wanted to help with the tree but this year Jacob's girlfriend was here and wanted to help and suddenly they were all joining in while I played very loud Christmas songs (much to their disgust!)
ReplyDeleteits beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Your mantel looks glorious! And if it's any consolation, my boys are downstairs fighting tooth and nail while making salt dough (and my headache is increasing accordingly).
ReplyDeleteI usually end up decorating solo. Though I think it is probably my own fault for being a tree control freak.
ReplyDeleteSeconding Kristina - love your mantel.
Gorgeous! Mine looks like something exploded in the corner of the living room.
ReplyDeleteThe (older than yours) boy here did most of the tree decorating this year. I just wasn't in the mood (I did point out the gaps) and he was complaining he lived in the House of Scrooge.
ReplyDeleteYour tree looks lovely and that fireplace....beautiful. Really looks so Christmassy.
